How exciting for Cambridge to have the lovely Kate & William come and visit our small town. We started feeling the buzz as all the shops started to decorate their windows about a week or so before. We kept true to our style and set up a high tea for Kate. On the day, we arrived into town early not knowing how busy things would be, it was so quiet so Sheryl and I had no problem finding a park.
Overnight the town had been prepared with all the barriers lining the streets. We had prepared some MYstyle bunting to hang outside using our Dotty Red and Dotty Blue and we hung that first thing. Meeting our lovely Sonia for breakfast the fun times began as we dressed up for the occasion with our Tiaras and Pearls, enjoying a relaxing breakfast at one of our favourite Cambridge cafes, Rouge! before the Royal watchers began arriving. We opened up MYstyle and started to prepare for the day of visitors. Blowing up balloons and having lots of photos and giggles. The morning went fast as many customers and friends came in and out of the store having fun with us.
We all gathered outside the shop to catch a wave and glimpse of the lovely Kate, William was on our side so we had a great view of him and we could just see the gorgeous Kate waving at the other side. She looked absolutely stunning and everyone commented on just how more gorgeous she is in person. So as quick as a flash our drive by was over but the atmosphere continued to be great, Sheryl and I popped into the lovely Bettie Monroe shop to say hi and of course take the opportunity to shop and giggle.
Enjoy our photos of our Royal Day!
Thank you to Sonia who put so much effort into helping us with all the decorations and for coming and sharing this day with us and obviously a big thank you to The Duchess and Duke of Cambridge, we loved having you!
